Geometric

In the Geometric series, I created both two and three dimensional works that were initially inspired by graffiti art, urban architectural spaces, and buildings. I also draw on Kandinsky’s abstraction, Mondrian’s geometry, and their use of primary colors. The transparent surface of the Plexiglas reveals the various stages of the working process, almost like a reversed painting that exposes its back. Its transparency allows the painted elements to appear as though they are hovering on the surface, nearly breaking free from it and extending into space. The series is based on a limited color palette, while collage elements composed of PVC cutouts and plastic threads are integrated into the surfaces of the works. Additionally, a world of dense, miniature, and labor-intensive drawing emerges. It is an autonomous, alternative realm of imagery populated by numerous symbols, most of which originate in the imagination.
