D.I.Y
In the DIY series, Danielle Feldhaker transforms mass-produced everyday objects, including IKEA products, wooden trestles, doormats, funnels, candles, and other functional materials into site-specific sculptural installations. Through acts of weaving, stacking, assembling, and re-patterning, these familiar objects lose their original purpose and become architectural and ornamental structures. The series reflects on the tensions between handmade labor and industrial production, East and West, private and public space, while proposing new poetic possibilities within the ordinary.
