This is a site-specific installation from the DIY series of objects and installations, made from ready-made wooden trestles originally designed as table legs and assembled into a large mashrabiya. It functions simultaneously as an architectural element that divides the space and as a decorative structure. Its geometric composition incorporates, among other influences, Mediterranean visual traditions. The natural, pale tone of the wood expresses, for me, a desire for simplicity and a connection to the earth and to nature.
